JOB SUMMARY:
Skills Assessment Admin October 26, 2012 - December 30, 2012 Location: Provo, UT Salary Range: $12-$14.00/hour DOE Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full Time Department: Student Service amp; Support Description: JOB SUMMARY: This position will report to the Student Support Manager. The ideal candidate will handle a range of administrative and student support related tasks specific to student outreach and skills assessment. Must have the ability to interact with students at all levels, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. 1. Utilize Student Support processes and resources to provide high quality support services to students and graduates from enrollment through graduation. 2. Handle all aspects of final exam administration and process for all programs. 3. Make the proactive student outreach calls according to schedule. 4. Interact with students and graduates in a supportive way while enforcing Career Step policies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ? Interact with students and graduates to address concerns, direct to resources, and provide education regarding final exam procedures and protocol via phone, email, forum, chat, and other social media. ? Take and return daily student phone calls regarding final exam and outreach responses. Respond to voicemail within a one-hour timeframe. ? Respond to email and portal questions within a 48-hour timeframe. ? Monitor forum and social media daily; reply to assessment-related questions. Moderate chats as needed. ? Maintain and update final exam results emails and other final exam correspondence as needed; create additional correspondence and tools when necessary. ? Document student-staff interactions in the Student Services database. ? Manage exam flow and scheduling of all exams and due dates to facilitate grading. Ensure scores are sent within appropriate time period. ? Manage Action Plan scheduling and implementation. ? Pull reports to create call lists for student outreach calls in all programs. ? Make all scheduled calls for Career Step programs. ? Maintain and update call scripts as needed. ? Send time-sensitive emails (14-day no login, etc.). ? Provide overflow coverage for other Student Support positions as needed. ? Create and pull reports from the database as needed. ? Send Facebook invitations for instructor pages each week. QUALIFICATIONS: ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Well organized, with ability to multitask responsibilities in a thorough and detailed manner ? Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills ? Ability and willingness to follow direction and function in a team environment EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE: ESSENTIAL: High School Diploma or equivalent; previous experience in client/customer services; strong communication skills (including at least one college level English course). DESIRABLE: Career Step Certificate of Graduation in any program. General medical industry experience, or bachelor s degree in applicable field. Specific experience in the Career Step Skills Assessment department. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will be located in an office setting where the employee will be sitting for lengths of time while work is performed, frequently at a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to contain certain vision abilities, which include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
