JOB SUMMARY:
Lot Technician for a Riverdale area employer. Applicants must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S., have a valid driver license and professional appearance. GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists the service and/or sales manager in keeping the car lot in good condition. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Arrange cars on the lot and ensure car lot is neat and orderly. Fuel cars and do minor maintenance such as, changing windshield wipers, replenishing fluids, etc. Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice. Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment. Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt. Assign stock control numbers to cards. Catalog and store keys. Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based. Excellent manual dexterity skills as well as patience and an eye for detail. WORKING CONDITIONS: Will stand six to eight hours per day and will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. He/she will also work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
