JOB SUMMARY:
Maintenance Technician (MAI00590) needed for a St. George distribution center. Purchasing and inventory control for the Maintenance Department and DC operations to ensure that the facility runs efficiently. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Accurately generate work orders through the Maintenance Management System. * Accurately order products that are cost efficient and durable for facility * Accurately enter inventory data into MP2 system * Accurately purchase parts and supplies for various departments * Check all purchase orders, reviews invoices for accuracy and forwards to accounting for payment * Effectively negotiate with vendors and perform costs analysis * Efficiently oversee inventory * Produce accurate monthly budget reports * Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS: Minimum Requirements: Education: High School Diploma preferred. Experience: Four to six months work experience preferably in a purchasing/inventory environment. Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows is required. Communication: Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and management team. Equipment: Maintenance Management System computer, pallet jack, scanner, hand truck, screw driver, hammer, pillars, pens, pencils, copier, fax machine, and telephone. Experience with MP2 Data Stream Maintenance software is preferred. Physical Requirements: These tasks require the ability to meet demands of frequent sitting, standing, moderate walking, occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and moving or carrying 50 pounds. Working Conditions: The associate will work in a climate controlled (office) atmosphere; however there may be frequent exposure to a Distribution Center (non-climate controlled). The associate may also be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, fumes, loud noise and airborne particles as regulated by OSHA. Shift work may be required.
