Drug and alcohol treatment facility is seeking an assistant cook to help in planning, ordering, preparing and cooking meals for residents based on healthy menus. Duties include: - Assist with pre-prepared evening and weekend meals for residents, deliver to facilities as needed. - Assist in keeping inventory of pantry/storage at one or more facilities. - Assist in maintaining food donations and submit food bank reports. - Shop for perishable items at local stores. - Shop for bulk items. - Assist in maintaining food donations and submit food bank reports. - Complete cleanup of daily meals including dishes and kitchen area. This individual is responsible for following proper sanitation methods, as instructed by the Health Department for storage and preparation of foods. This individual teaches weekly classes to clients about nutrition, menu planning, safe food preparation and storage, plan for and set up for Board of Trustee Meetings. This is a great opportunity for those wishing to serve the community or seeking experience in the social work field. Candidate must have a Food Handlers Permit and Safe Serve Credentials, as well as a high school diploma or equivalent. Must pass post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug test.
