JOB SUMMARY:
This position serves as the administrator for the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. In close collaboration with the Division Chief and with faculty members, develops and implements strategic initiatives, policies, programs and financial objectives within the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies. Manages day to day administrative functions within the Division, which includes human resource management, team building and problem solving. Provides financial oversight for all aspects of the DivisionA??s operations, which includes a large portfolio of grants and contracts held by Division faculty. Prepares Divisional budgets, in accordance with Departmental goals and Divisional priorities. Ensures positive and proactive communications between relevant collaborators throughout the University of Utah system and the community.
