Title: Business Systems Analyst Location: United States Other Locations: American Express Global Business Travel fuels businesses all over the globe by offering companies the security of the most comprehensive travel network on earth, the deepest insight and 160 years of absolute dependability. With a focus on MI/BI applications, the global product management team facilitates the development, testing and deployment of client facing MI/BI tools to assist corporate travel managers in assessing amp; evaluating their travel programs. This position is responsible for managing and supporting various internal/external travel business intelligence products and applications. This position will offer the opportunity to link technical development and business requirements together to successfully lead projects. The person will also be responsible for performing data analysis and providing insight. Responsibilities * Strong expertise in travel processes amp; applications, end-to-end, including knowledge of one or more Global Distribution Systems. * Perform data analysis and provide consultation amp; insight for both Pre and Post Travel business intelligence reporting * Design and monitor business intelligence product support processes in conjunction with the servicing and support teams. * Responsible for working with project stakeholders and commercial product managers to define high-level business requirements and business needs for key business travel initiatives, interpreting the requestorapos;apos;s needs and driving the development approach * Create and Manage report development project plans and documentation (internal/external communications, marketing materials, training documentation, etc), providing regular updates to project stakeholders, obtaining stakeholder sign-off and completing all required billing and compliance tasks. * Works with the technology team(internal or external vendors) to ensure the proposed design meets business requirements and owns/drives the activities related to user acceptance testing, implementation amp; support strategies, and project deployment * Proactively anticipates any project risks and issues and ensures adequate mitigation efforts are put in place to ensure overall delivery is not compromised. Qualifications * 1 years of experience in a business analyst role that requires a consultative approach * Great data analysis background-need to integrate data, correlate, and find data trends; must be very analytical. Strong background with Data Analytics and Reporting * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access; ability to create, maintain, and alter Access queries and reports. Experience in writing SQL queries and manipulating large amounts of data * Must be technically savvy including strong use of web based applications, databases, and reporting applications * Strong collaboration and relationship building skills in a fast-paced changing environment with focus on measurable results * 1 years of project management skills and experience in managing several projects simultaneously * Experience creating business requirements based on request - asking probing questions and providing recommendations for stakeholders * Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are a must; need to work under tight deadlines and high pressure * Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral); must be able to deliver technical solutions in an understandable manner to non-technical users
