JOB SUMMARY:
Salt Lake based company is transforming community newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations from traditional media companies to new online media providers. We create and hot rich online and on the go content nationwide. The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for training and selling in various markets throughout a region. Sales include but are not limited to website tools and solutions and SEO products and other added services. Presentations skills include speaking to large groups about the needs and opportunities available to local businesses in the digital space. This individual will be responsible for a monthly sales budget for each assigned media partner, their sales teams and their local list of clients. Compensation will include a base salary plus variable component tied to the production and includes a competitive benefit package, including health, dental, vision and live insurance, as well as 401(k) and Flexible Spending. Key Responsibilities: Consistently deliver monthly and quarterly revenue results that meet or exceed budgets and expectations Provide sales/product training, motivation and leadership to an account base of media partners and their sales teams. Make in-field calls with partner sales team members. Train and assist in closing prospective business Consult with and develop strong long-term partnership/relationships with the partners/media organizations. Influence partners to prioritize online advertising sales to compliment traditional print and broadcast advertising efforts Maximize the revenue from all online advertising solutions, business directory websites, SEO/SEM solutions, local/national banner advertising, email/text message campaigns, mobile couponing, call tracking, SMB services, local paid search and other products Develop execute a sales management strategy and aggressive sales plan designed to meet company revenue goals Extensive travel will be required Consistent communication, record keeping and reports are required on a weekly basis. Experience with sales customer relationship tools (CRM) software preferred Skills/Experience Requirements: Experience as a trainer and the ability to teach, motivate and mentor sales teams 2+ years of proven track record selling interactive Media or other B2B Internet, software-as-a-service(SaaS) or comparable products/services Experience in selling online advertising and services/software to small and medium businesses BA/BS in marketing, business management or other related field preferred Proficiency in sales forecasting and modeling tools, including the use of CRM systems preferred Excellent communicator capable of building relationships and communicating effectively with every level in the organization through outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills Strong knowledge of SEO/SEM and internet-based lead generation methodologies Results oriented, strong decision maker with ability to prioritize and organize work, and meet aggressive timelines.
