JOB SUMMARY:
This position provides expert knowledge of clinical education programs, technical skills and analytical expertise to support excellence in education at Intermountain. The incumbent will support development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of education to uphold the three-fold mission for education at Intermountain: Increasing Competency, Quality and Efficiency. This position will provide consultation in the analysis, interpretation and management of a variety of data sources to evaluate effectiveness of education programs (Nurse Residency, Nursing Unit Orientation, Basic Clinical Orientation, Clinical Coach, Simulation, etc) and individual educational initiatives. Additionally, this position will participate and lead research publication initiatives and benchmarking projects as assigned by leadership.This is a system-wide role. The Clinical Education Analyst is responsible for research, evaluation, and analytic projects as assigned through consultation with the Clinical Programs, Education Steering Committee, Regional Education Departments and Councils, System Simulation Guidance Council and other Clinical Operations entities.    Job Essentials:    Demonstrates a working knowledge of current education structure and processes, quality improvement principles, study design, data resources and statistical modeling to evaluate clinical education and identify opportunities for improving delivery and transference to practice.    Utilizes knowledge of competency assessment and evaluation methods to identify and measure relevance and potential impact of proposed education plans. This includes capturing cost, clinical outcomes and learner satisfaction data associated with specific clinical education projects.    Works collaboratively with Clinical Programs analysts, Information Systems and data management teams to create reports and monitor targeted education outcomes.    Works with established education leadership, Decision Support, Strategic Planning and Research and other departments to identify and develop internal and external benchmarks to evaluate standardized programs and propose action plans for improvement.    Provides support and statistical consultation for Intermountain University, Clinical Education, Simulation Training Programs, leaders of standardized education programs and other groups as assigned.    Mentors colleagues in problem identification, system utilization, methodologies, tools and techniques.    Assists information users in understanding relationships between data, processes, and outcomes of the education they provide in order to identify areas of potential improvement to support Clinical Education and Clinical Operations Goals.    Communicates outcomes to others through data visualization, and helps others understand potential initiatives suggested in order to enhance efficiencies.    Minimum Requirements    Bachelor s Degree; Education is verified and degree must be obtained through an accredited institution    Four years experience working in a clinical or healthcare technical IT area    Two years experience developing, implementing and evaluating programs, including working with outcome oriented data and writing reports or research publications    Two years experience using statistical research methods in quantitative and qualitative analysis for determining outcomes    Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail applications    Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills    Ability to travel to various Intermountain Healthcare facilities    Physical Requirements    Seeing, speaking, manual dexterity
