JOB SUMMARY:
Master's level degree and current Utah LCSW or LPC licensure (in good standing) for a minimum of 2 years; 2 or more years in a leadership/supervision capacity; 3-5 years of experience working with young children in a mental health or similar setting. Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel. House of Hope is seeking a Clinical Supervisor of Children's Services to provide additional clinical treatment and oversight to the young children attending the Hope Center for Children program (ages 0-8 years) in residential and day treatment whose mothers are in substance abuse treatment. This position is especially suited for applicants who enjoy mentoring and teaching new social workers and other children's staff to achieve personal and professional excellence in the field of children's mental health programming. This person is responsible for clinically supervising a team of case managers, interns and 8-10 bachelors level paraprofessionals clinical best practices and human services ethics. Coordinates with adult services team and community organizations to provide treatment continuum for young children with multiple risk factors. Responsible for completing assessments, treatment plans, reviews and discharge summaries for each child and must be proficient in clinical oversight of charting and record-keeping procedures for Medicaid and other contractors. Will provide individual therapy for children, weekly filial therapy groups for mothers and children, behavior management groups for school age children, parenting classes and occasional crisis intervention with families. Also responsible for oversight of children's day treatment program which serves 40-50 children, M-F, including scheduling, resource management, facility upkeep and safety, curriculum and staff training. Requires excellent communication and leadership skills, problem solving ability and stress management skills. Preference given to those with experience in play and filial therapy, mental health of young children, addiction treatment and a sense of humor. Our program has an excellent reputation in the community and is seeking a clinical supervisor to oversee and improve our program to make a difference in the lives of the families we serve. Work schedule is 8-5 with one evening per week and occasional on-call responsibilities. Must be at least 21 years of age.
