JOB SUMMARY:
Cluster Manager to join the team in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Identify and prevent losses of all kinds and maintain compliance with the permit to work system. Ensure all Safety standards are implemented. Investigate, identify and correct root causes of incidents and near misses to ensure unsafe conditions are prevented in the future. Lead the overall safety process for the plant. Ensure that the Operations business is conducted in compliance with all applicable environmental regulatory standards. Ensure that the Operations business is conducted in compliance with the product quality contractual requirements. BUSINESS PERFORMANCE: Develop and manage an annual budget of ~$9.7 million to meet the plan for Salt Lake City and Anacortes. Interface with HYCO NA SMR OPERATIONS/ROC HEAD to identify and implement reliability improvement projects and to coordinate turnarounds. Set the goals and objectives for the Operations team ensuring that they are aligned with the site business objectives. Effectively delegate responsibilities among the Operations resources to achieve the objectives in the most efficient manner. Recognize the need for and secure additional resources as appropriate. Adjust the priorities as plant needs dictate. Understand the boundaries of the various customer and supplier contracts and ensure compliance with the contract requirements. Foster excellent relationships with customers, project personnel and suppliers. Support Business development with technical expertise in steam methane reforming processes. Manage operation and cost of all plants ensuring safety and reliability as well as efficiency. RELIABILITY: Ensure plant is operated and maintained to achieve contractual product supply reliability in compliance with the contract requirements. Evaluate, plan and execute actions to achieve and maintain world-class reliability performance of HYCO operations. Interface with the HYCO reliability manager and reliability platform leads to implement best operating practices. Ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place. Oversee the maintenance management activities ensuring the proper use of defined systems and processes. VISIBLE LEADERSHIP: Provide leadership for the Operations personnel in setting and accomplishing annual goals and objectives. Create a high performance culture that includes development and training of Operations personnel. Set and achieve a personal high standard of performance. Drive continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications: ? Bachelor?s degree or technical equivalent (7-10 years of applicable industrial experience) ? 3 ? 5 years of experience in the HYCO or related processes ? 5 ? 7 years of experience as Operations Manager ? The successful candidate will possess 10 years experience in engineering or a process orientated industry or reliability activity. They must also have a minimum of 5 years experience managing people. ? Experience working with a multi-customer base. Experience working in a start up facility such as in the refinery, chemical or power industries ? Strong analytical and technical skills ? Strong leadership and people management skills ? Excellent oral and written communication skills ? Strong interpersonal skills ? Knowledge of Linde management processes ? Experience managing teams and individual contributors ?
