JOB SUMMARY:
Title: CM/DM Analyst Location: USA-Utah-Salt Lake City Other Locations: The CM/DM Analyst will interact with a variety of industry and customer agencies, consulting and advising in the field of CM. They will be involved in approving and implementing product definition changes, managing the preparation and implementation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Engineering Information Requests (EIRs); deviations/waivers, required configuration audits, and organizing the submission of contractually required data. The responsibilities for this position include: * Supporting baseline control of all delivered software and hardware configuration items and documentation. * Configuration Change Control, configuration identification, status accounting, configuration audits and contract data for programs. * The successful candidate will prepare and execute program configuration management plans. * This position requires extensive interface with customers, subcontractors, associate contractors, and project/program management personnel. * This position will assume a team member role in analyzing, negotiating, and implementing contract and L-3 Communications CM policy, standards, and requirements on all contracts/projects during all program phases. Provides configuration management/document control analysis for both Hardware and Software. * Reviews all software and hardware change requests submitted for approval to ensure completeness and compliance to company specific guidelines and industry best practices. * Reacts to periodic audits on conformance to CM practices for all Configuration Items, document findings and develop and deploy necessary correction actions. * Conducts CCBamp;#39;s internally as well as with the external customer. * Ensures compliance to the ECO, BOM, and Deviation processes in an electronic environment. * Assists in the maintenance and development of CM policy and procedures to ensure that all projects maintain the integrity of complex software, hardware and documentation throughout the project life-cycle. * Proactively addresses configuration management related issues and concerns across the program. * Maintains revision and version control over multiple baselines being worked and/or fielded simultaneously. * Ensures that existing change management and change control processes are strictly enforced throughout the development life cycle. * Works closely with engineers and managers across varied disciplines. * BS/BA degreewith a business management or equivalent work experience at a professional level. * Four (4) or more yearsof professional experience working in a document control or configuration management departments. * Solid demonstration of conflict management skills. * Proven leadership abilities in a cross functional environment. * The ability to exercise diplomacy within a team environment. * Strong analytical skills, project management and process management skills. * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. * Experience with CM tools, MS Office tools, and CMM/CMMI requirements and activities. * An understanding of purchasing, planning, manufacturing and Ramp;D.
