Job Description The Cook is an integral part of the Intermountain Team. They contribute to the extraordinary care of patients and customers by providing delicious and appetizing meal selections. The Cook is responsible for the preparation and serving of foods for patients, cafeteria, and special functions and for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality food production, and portion control to ensure food is served in an attractive manner. The Cook must estimate accurate food quantities needed to meet menu requirements and adjust to the changing demands in the cafeteria in a timely manner. Through their knowledge of quantity food production and cleaning methods, the Cook is able to effectively prepare menu items following standard recipes. Through their excellence and dedicated efforts they ensure our healing commitments are met. Entry Rate: $10.70 Benefits Eligible: No Shift Details: This position requires working on nights and weekends. The applicant must be very flexible with when they can work Department: Dietary Minimum Requirements * One or more years of food service experience * Read, write, and communicate effectively * Customer service skills * Ability to work independently and part of a team * Ability to follow instructions Physical Requirements * Carrying, Climbing, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pushing/Pulling, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing and Walking Preferred Qualifications * Hospital food service experience Please Note After applying, please check your email often.
