JOB SUMMARY:
Located in Salt Lake CIty, Utah, this position is a support and administration position with SQL databases. This position will have oversight into the assessment, recommendation, and final implementations of database technologies. Position will provide a consistent methodology for database integrity and performance and assists with disaster recovery as required. Position will develop and oversee the security of the database and identify any issues which could reflect on data available. Responsibilities ? Responsible for data backups, security, maintenance and monitoring of the SQL database supporting a 99.999% availability standard. ? Installation, configuration, and administration of databases (primarily MS SQL) in clustered/non-clustered environments ? Responsible for problem resolution, database replication issues, database consistency checks, performance tuning, troubleshooting connectivity issues and log maintenance. ? Write and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database triggers. Develop test plans for testing and debugging. ? Responsible for the documentation for EP's process and procedures to ensure the proper use and application of the database. ? Ensure that all service related issues are identified quickly to ensure compliance with SLA's ? Responsible for the monitoring database alerts and escalations and ensure that resolution is reached to eliminate recurring database problems. ? Be available to participate in an on-call support rotation and non-business hour change windows Requirements ? BS CS/EE and eight (8) or more years of related experience managing MSSQL databases ? Past experience overseeing Performance Tuning and Systems Optimization in a database ? environment ? Demonstrated past experience implementing operational automation with test scripts. ? Past experience with Windows server, including Active Directory and appropriate disk configurations. ? Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment where data demands are driven by customer SLA's. ? Demonstrated experience with backups, system restores and recovery models. ? Excellent understanding of high availability systems and discovery operations for MSSQL ? Excellent knowledge of SQL server skills ? Maintain the firm standards as they apply to information, data, network, and system security. ?
