JOB SUMMARY:
Electro-Mechanical Technician (Engineer, Customer Service) Location: UT - Salt Lake City Work Shift: Second Job ID: bbh-00000907 Description: At Bell and Howell we design and deliver flexible, high-performance mail production solutions and services. To join us for a future with unlimited opportunity for growth, you will need: -Flexibility to work the 2nd shift with 10% shift differential -Strong electronics/electrical background and mechanical knowledge -Good understanding of computer program functionality and software skills -Ability to use standard and specialized hand and power tools and measuring equipment i.e. oscilloscopes, DMM, gauges, etc. -Good analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills -Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and documentation -Good project management skills and time management skills -Strong interpersonal/customer relations skills -Basic computer skills: DOS, Windows, UNIX -Experience with mail processing or related equipment a plus DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshoot and repair more complex inserting and sorting mail processing equipment problems. Schedule and perform regular predictive/preventive maintenance inspections on equipment. Provide support by managing parts inventory, customer service calls and preventative maintenance schedules. Foster positive customer relations and a high degree of customer satisfaction by communicating effectively with customers. Act as a liaison between the customer and other departments/functions of the company. Provide seven (7) day/week twenty-four (24) hour/day availability for emergency customer assistance by carrying a blackberry; respond to emergency and non-scheduled calls for service within established response time goals.
