We are currently seeking an Engineering Supervisor for our bakery. This position reports to the Assistant Chief Engineer and supervises/trains maintenance personnel in the upkeep of existing equipment and the installation of new equipment. Plans and directs engineering and maintenance activities for this work shift. The Engineering Supervisor focuses on meeting standards for quality, productivity, downtime and sustainability. Manage assigned shift PM (preventative maintenance) responsibilities and document findings/results. This position has direct responsibility to ensure that all work activities under its span of control are performed with attention to the highest standards of food quality, safe processes, compliance with all appropriate legal requirements and a focus on continuous process improvement. ** Working Schedule - Full Time - 40 + hours per week. Graveyard. Tuesday thru Saturday. ** PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise, coach, train, lead and motivate a shift of mechanics to meet planned objectives and respond effectively to emergencies Builds people capability by effectively monitoring and providing performance feedback to direct reports Communicate status of shift to following shift and others who require the information Identify equipment and facility deficiencies and ensure the initiation of corrective action Assess mechanics technical and troubleshooting skills ?Provide training and counseling as needed to assist mechanics in meeting performance standards Instruct production personnel in the proper operation and care of equipment Ensure preventive maintenance program is performed in accordance with company standards Ensure equipment is maintained in safe operating condition Ensures compliance with all Health Safety regulations/programs Comply with all collective bargaining agreements in order to foster positive employee relations Maintain current and complete records of all activities Coordinate and implement company policies and procedures in all areas Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment Perform other duties relating to the efficient operation of the bakery as assigned
