JOB SUMMARY:
BASIC JOB FUNCTION Facilities: The Requirement of this position is to take ownership and responsibility for the critical systems in the facility. The systems have special needs, and require training and knowledge above the standard. Individual will design and specify whole systems and equipment generate work orders and insure that work complies with high standards. Must have knowledge and experience and certification with both electrical and HVAC equipment. Equipment: The person in this position will be responsible for the high maintenance of automated test, assembly equipment. Responsibilities include design, engineering and debug of electro-mechanical and computer controlled systems. RESPONSIBILITIES Facilities Design and engineer complex equipment and facility upgrades. Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment. Work closely with the Facility Manager to minimize outside contractor expenses, providing quicker response by providing in house maintenance support. High level of facility responsibility, major contact person for critical systems. Provide technical information and personal training in their areas of expertise. Provide management direction to and coordination with contractor personnel and Amedica employees during implementation and construction of major systems improvements and additions. Equipment Design and engineer complex electro mechanical and pneumatic and computer controlled systems for automated test and assembly equipment. Provide technical information in the form of specifications, drawings and /or documentation. Troubleshoot and repair highly complex automated test and assembly equipment. Work closely with manufacturing and Equipment engineering in developing improved systems and equipment for manufacturing. Work with Engineers to improve, establish and maintain manufacturing equipment processes within required specifications. High level of responsibility for complex critical systems. PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Non Objectionable Condition; Exposure to Weather; Poor lighting; Cramped Quarters; Dirt - Dust; Fumes - Odors; Heat; Cold; Noise; Vibrations; Oil - Grease; Protective Clothing. Lift minimum of 50 pounds. EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED AAS degree from two year vocational/ technical program or equivalent of two years trade school. Must have an HVAC license, Knowledge in BAS ?Building Automation Systems?, Class A fire systems experience, and Building Security System experience. DESIRED EXPERIENCE Associates Degree and 6 years of relevant experience or Other Technical Certifications and 10 years of relevant experience .
