Lewis Stages in Salt Lake City needs to hire an experienced mechanic with proven ability to work with a range of vehicles according to stringent best-practice standards. The successful applicant will have: ? At least 4 years experience as an auto mechanic ? Knowledge of computer systems, fuel ignition, suspension, alignment and electrical systems. ? Experience performing preventative maintenance on large variety of vehicles. ? Clean driving record ? The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and DOT physical. ? CDL B is a plus! Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ? Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly ? Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment ? Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined ? Test and lubricate the vehicle's engine and other major components ? Perform basic care and maintenance, including oil changes, tune ups, and tire rotations ? Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings ? Disassemble and reassemble parts ? Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective In order for the ideal candidate to become successful in this field, they must have interpersonal skills, excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, leadership skills, and knowledge of modern methods, theory of internal combustion engines, new technical techniques used in the industry, as well as tools and equipments used in repairing automobiles and trucks.
