JOB SUMMARY:

Field Service Technician (MH) is needed for a Salt Lake company. Essential Job Functions: * Drives to customer locations to repair forklifts and other equipment using special tools and electronic devices. * Conducts maintenance services for customer. * Service of electric, gas, propane and diesel forklifts. * Examine Forklifts, and other material handling equipment, compile estimates of repair costs, and secure customers' approval to perform repairs. * Install and repair forklift parts, mast, and service components such as compressors, condensers, and controls. * Use electronic test equipment to locate and correct malfunctions in fuel, ignition, and emissions control systems. * Inspect and test new vehicles for damage, then record findings so that necessary repairs can be made. * Performs advanced trouble-shooting and diagnosis of all systems. * Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles). * Running or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts. Non-essential Job Functions: * Assist the Used Equipment Manager with various tasks * Data entry and various office duties. * Maintain a clean workspace. * Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. Preferred Knowledge: * Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. * Engineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. * Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
