JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibilities: Write grants and funding proposals from a variety of sources, including government, foundations and corporations; attend CDBG and other hearings; research and pursue new funding avenues; assist in development areas as needed. Some weekends and evenings will be required. Duties: Write letters of intent and funding proposals to funding sources; Prepare and submit funding reports prior to established deadlines; Assemble proposals, including cover letters, budgets, and addenda; Assist in writing other materials as requested; Research, develop, and maintain list of potential grant sources; Record information in Blackbaud Raisers Edge; Maintain grant filing systems; Speak to community groups/tours; Attend public hearings and panel reviews; Attend and assist with special events; Other duties as assigned Qualifications: BA/BS in related field and 2 years development experience OR 5+ years of directly related development experience; Excellent writing, communication and organization skills; Demonstrated experience in team environment; Strong time management skills; Able to plan and follow-through on multiple projects; Non-profit grant writing including CDBG grants; intermediate Windows and MS Office; Flexible, friendly and professional; High standard of professional ethics
