JOB SUMMARY:

Position Summary: To provide ground equipment maintenance operations including systems and components test, analyzing performance variations, isolating defective components and systems, repairing engine failures, and mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: 1) Break and fix Maintenance Responsible for diagnosing equipment problems, replacing or repairing faulty parts, to maintain the safe, efficient operation of all ground equipment. 2) Preventive Maintenance Responsible for routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups to prevent future breakdowns. Operate hand tools, air tools, light duty equipment and machinery. 3) Comply with all regulatory, legal, and Safety Management System requirements. 4) Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Skills: To perform the job successfully, the Ground Equipment Technician should demonstrate the following: Customer Service Responsible for assisting internal and external customers in any way possible, always offering additional services and exceeding internal and external customer expectations. Interpersonal Skills Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming, maintains confidentiality, keeps emotions under control, remains open to others ideas and tries new things. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Environmental Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. EOE
