Performs variety of skilled support duties involved in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of control systems hardware and software encompasses primarily DCS (distributed control systems), PLCs (programmable logic controllers), safety instrument systems (SIS), HMI (human machine interface), alarm management. Ensures adherence to established guidelines, policies, procedures, and applicable governmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: * In conjunction with process controls engineering, maintains control systemsamp;#39; hardware and software. Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment such as, but not limited to, network routers, switches, fiber networks, servers, to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Configures, programs, troubleshoots and maintains refinery-specific control systemsamp;#39; software. Responds to control systemsamp;#39; failures. * Provides technical assurance and support to Information Technology (IT) group on issues impating control systems networks such as, but not limited to, performance, system security, operating system and system administration interfaces. * Prepares and maintains documentation on refineryamp;#39;s control systems. * Provides technical input to PHA (process hazard analysis), Pamp;ID (piping amp; instrumentation diagram) reviews, MOC (management of change) processes. * Supports projects through technical contribution to specifications, hardware and software design, testing, commissioning, and training. Education and Experience Minimum Associateamp;#39;s degree in instrumentation or electrical technology. Minimum 3 years control systemsamp;#39; technical support in petrochemical facility.
