JOB SUMMARY:
Position Available: Inventory Control Accountant Company Background: Our company develops and markets fitness equipment and health monitors. Our brand was introduced in the fall of 2002 with a single product that was sold through a hand full of retail outlets. Today we are a leader in the fitness industry with multi-channel distribution throughout North America and expanding distribution in Europe and Asia. To support brand growth and continued sales we are hiring an Inventory Control Accountant. Job Objective: Key responsibilities of this position include monitoring and controlling inventory movement throughout the company, coordinating with Sales, Operations and Accounting departments to maintain clear communication as to the current inventory status / issues and tracking inventory purchasing and measurements to improve return on inventory for inventory costs. Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Forecast inventory purchasing needs based on past history and anticipated sales promotions 2. Prepare and submit Purchase Orders to suppliers (inventory and non-inventory items) 3. Review and authorize Sales Confirmations from suppliers as agreed per Purchase Orders 4. Track shipments of product to insure timing of deliveries 5. Receive into inventory product receipts include associated shipment costs into computer records 6. Reconcile company Purchase orders with suppliers records 7. Insure minimum on-hand quantities and minimum purchasing quantities are within set standards 8. Prepare month-end reports for suppliers and company including proper cut off and aging 9. Obtain approval and documentation for returns and allowances - enter into company records 10. Track and reconcile inventories in-transit 11. Prepare monthly management summary including comparing actual to budgeted targets 12. Communicate clearly and effectively with other departments managers and employees Education and Qualifications: 1. Accounting or business degree desired 2. Product purchasing / inventory analyses experience preferred 3. Familiarity with accounting or purchasing software required 4. Strong verbal and written communication skills 5. Strong time management and organizational skills 6. Proficient in Word and Excel Compensation Benefits: 1. Base Salary - $30,000 annually 2. Health Insurance 3. Vacation and Personal Time Pay Location: Corporate Office Located in Salt Lake City, UT
