JOB SUMMARY:
Provides a safe and clean environment for all guests in the pool area. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 16 years of age or older at the time of hire. Possession of current American Red Cross (ARC) Life guarding and CPR/AED for Lifeguards certifications at the time of hire. Successful completion of a criminal background check. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs lifeguard duties in assigned areas. Cleans pool, pool deck, dressing rooms, and other assigned areas. Fills out appropriate accident/incident reports in accordance with policy and procedures. Assists in record keeping. Responds quickly and efficiently to all emergency situations. Attends regularly scheduled in-service trainings; passes all skills in the training as they are required. TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES May work up to 1,560 hours per calendar year. Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy. Are not considered merit employees; they are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.
