JOB SUMMARY:
A Salt Lake area staffing and recruiting agency is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for weekend work in a Salt Lake City manufacturing facility. Most of work will be on Evening/Swing shift, some daytime work also possible. JOB SPECS: Saturday and Sunday, Swing Shift apx. 2:00 PM- 12:00 midnight. Starting wage negotiable according to skill/qualifications; benefits available if desired through the Agency (Health, Dental, Vision) with no waiting period. JOB DUTIES: Will maintain, adjust, diagnose repair all facets of production machinery including conveyers, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical / electronics; report to shift supervisor and coordinate with production leads and line staff; and fill out maintenance reports and other records. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have at least two years' successful experience maintaining repairing conveyers, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, basic electrical; must be able to read schematics; to stand for a full shift and lift up to 75 lbs unassisted. Training and experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) preferred. Candidates must have shown good job longevity (average at least 1-2 years per job held), and be able to provide positive, professional references from recent jobs. They must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written (bilingual English / Spanish is a plus). They must have reliable transportation, and should reside within about a 30-minute commute from downtown Salt Lake City. All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and present an acceptable background check with no recent felony history or incarcerations.
