JOB SUMMARY:
Position Summary: Responsible for operating various machines and equipment in support of hardware production. Authorized to assist in team member training. Responsible for material control. Assist in team meeting and process development. Advise Lead of production flow and planning. Must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of quality, productivity, standards and procedures. Sets an example of high quality and productivity performance. 1. Responsible for operating machinery as directed to meet production schedule, quality specifications, and process requirements. 2. Authority to set up and adjust machines. Authority to remove substandard parts from the process. 3. Responsible for maintaining personal production at or above standard level to include advising leads and engineers of potential problems or bottlenecks and assisting with production issues. Responsible to keep maintenance logs for machinery. 4. Responsible for documentation and control of work in process materials, including material movement to next process when complete. 5. Responsible Maintenance of work area at or above standard housekeeping level. 6. Authority to inspect work in process as required, including completion of required SPC documentation. 7. Authority to set up area; to train and control as qualified and directed. 8. Responsible to assist with process improvement through team meeting input and recommendations supervision. 9. Responsible to follow established safety procedures. Qualifications: Education Required: None Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent Work Experience Required: 1-3 years Machine Operator experience Preferred: Milling/ Punch Press / NC or CNC experience Skills and General Experience: Fluent in English communication, including speaking, reading, and writing. Basic problem solving and organizational skills. Basic mathematics knowledge, including ability to perform basic calculator functions. Ability to effectively use calipers and micrometers and read blueprints. Experience operating, setting up and adjusting mills, drill presses, and/ or punch presses or various other machines. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Must be energetic and self-directed. Knowledge of rock climbing equipment is helpful.
