Market Analyst/Survey Researcher needed for a Salt Lake City (84119) area employer. Position Description: Employer is seeking a Market Analyst/Survey Researcher for a six-to-nine month term project with a strong possibility of continued employment. Our immediate need is for a qualified individual who will work individually and as part of a team assessing the efficacy of several phase 1 web portals in preparation for phase 2 development. The successful candidate will gather data for this assessment via online surveys, focus groups and personal interviews. The data will be interpreted and summarized in a report to Forest Service leadership along with alternative development strategies, costs, and recommendations. With a successful outcome, continuing work will involve performing business requirements analysis for several nationally funded geospatial projects and tracking and reporting milestones and accomplishments. Principal requirements and competencies for this position include: 1. Excellent communication skills?both written and verbal; 2. Ability to conduct in?depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods; 3. Ability to gather information and produce recommendation reports based on research and data analysis; 4. Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to review collaborative technical reports for grammar, content, and style; 5. Ability to analyze information and develop technically and grammatically correct written materials; 6. Skills in the use of corporate communications tools, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Sharepoint, and data analysis software; 7. Ability to work closely with senior level leadership and to coordinate effectively across organizational lines; 8. Interest in natural resources and resource management and geospatial technologies; 9. BA/BS (MA/MS preferred) within communications, business, market analysis, survey research, or related; 10. Two or more years experience performing related tasks in a professional setting (education in lieu of experience is acceptable). While this position does not require prior understanding of geospatial technologies, knowledge of the fundamentals will be an advantage in the selection process. All candidates should be quick studies of technical information and have an aptitude for distilling key messages from discussions, conference calls, and meetings. The successful candidate will be self?motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, able to collaborate with technical specialists, and adaptable to changing client priorities. Employer will arrange work schedule. Salary is $3,333.00 to $5,250.00 per month depending on qualifications and experience.
