The Mechanics Helper provides support to the ground equipment maintenance operations department. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: 1. Provides basic maintenance services such as oil changes. 2. Responsible for parts delivery. 3. Completes cosmetic repairs on company vehicles and equipment. 4. Complies with all regulatory, legal, and Safety Management System requirements. 5. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/ Competencies To perform the job successfully, the Mechanics Helper should demonstrate the following: Customer Service Responsible for assisting internal and external customers in any way possible, always offering additional services and exceeding internal and external customer expectations. Interpersonal Skills Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming, maintains confidentiality, keeps emotions under control, remains open to others ideas and tries new things. Basic computer skills understanding Microsoft Office is preferred. Valid drivers license is required. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Environmental Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
