JOB SUMMARY:
The main specific features of the position are the performance of immunoassays that aid in the diagnosis of immune-mediated skin diseases and certain gastrointestinal and allergic diseases. The immunoassays include direct immunofluorescence of skin and mucous membrane tissue, serum assays on human skin, monkey and rodent substrates utilizing indirect immunofluorescence and serum immunoassays by enzyme linked immunosorbent and related techniques. Quality management, including quality assurance and quality improvement activities, and safety maintenance are essential parts of the job.
