The incumbent will perform a variety of independent analysis, design, development, documentation, and problem-solving assignments related to web application development, SharePoint, and custom integration solutions with line-of-business application data. Will manage projects throughout the software development lifecycle, including estimation, budgeting, scheduling, management reviews, user training and system documentation. Must work effectively with others in the Information Technology function and must be able to work effectively with internal customers to understand and meet their needs and expectations. Assignments require use of standard techniques, methods and procedures. Higher-level analysts, team leads or the immediate manager may review work on a regular basis. The incumbent may provide input to management in establishing objectives. Qualifications Provides guidance, support, development and implementation of automated processes, which are an integral part of the various business processes within the company. The activities performed include, but are not limited to: amp;amp;bull; Requirements analysis, design, development, and testing of web solutions using ASP.NET, VB.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, and integration with third-party systems amp;amp;bull; Recommends improvements to existing sites, services and/or procedures amp;amp;bull; Analyzes customer requirements and recommends solutions that meet customer needs and expectations amp;amp;bull; Writes technical documentation amp;amp;bull; Assists less experienced staff members in methods and procedures as required amp;amp;bull; Prepares detailed specifications from which systems or services will be developed amp;amp;bull; Provides functional/operational support on assigned applications/systems/technologies amp;amp;bull; Project leadership ability and may guide one or two analysts/co-ops or interns in well-defined projects of limited scope amp;amp;bull; Manages projects throughout the software development lifecycle, including estimation, budget, schedule, management reviews, user training, and system documentation Required Skills / Qualifications: amp;amp;bull; Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or other technical area, and 4 - 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and/or training. Previous development experience with SharePoint is preferred, but not required. Microsoft certification is a plus, as is experience with SAP Business Objects reporting. amp;amp;bull; Requires a clear understanding of Microsoft tools and technologies (i.e. VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server), architectural alternatives, object-oriented design, and implementation details with solid, hands-on technical experience. amp;amp;bull; Ability to analyze, design, develop and test software solutions including VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and to integrate with 3rd party systems. amp;amp;bull; Experience with web development and with key web technologies and methodologies (i.e. DHTML, VBScript, LINQ, Entity Framework, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, Silverlight, SharePoint, Winform) amp;amp;bull; Experience with Windows Server administration is beneficial, specifically with IIS amp;amp;bull; Exceptional problem solving and decision making capabilities, including troubleshooting technical issues, successfully resolving project issues and challenges, and developing creative solutions for process improvement and understanding user requirements. amp;amp;bull; Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, presentation skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. amp;amp;bull; Ability and willingness to continue to
