Primary Childrenapos;apos;s Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join itapos;apos;s outstanding hospital team of professionals. Position Description * Provide consultation to staff and teams in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. * Develop, facilitate, and analyze programs, projects, and goals utilizing quality improvement, evidence based practice, and research principles to change culture, standardize patient care best practice, and improve patient outcomes. * Provide collaborative leadership on teams and projects, using leadership skills, clinical expertise, and principles of program development, to support unit, regional, and enterprise goals. * Create, manage, and evaluate processes that optimize patient care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * skill development of the bedside clinician including critical thinking skills, * support patient care through formalized education, patient rounds, policies, procedures, protocols, and pathway development, * contributing expertise to patient care, * identifying key learning opportunities at the bedside and reviewing with appropriate bedside clinicians. * Promote nursing profession and participate in the development of self amp; others. Position Details: Full time (Mon-Fri), Flexible scheduling but require 5 days per week. Pediatric Experienced Masterapos;apos;s Prepared RN with APRN or Clinical Nurse Specialist experience. Position supports pediatric medical-surgical units in addition to supporting the Pediatric Program, Primary Childrens Medical Centerapos;apos;s clinical focus teams, quality improvement, and more. Minimum Qualifications * Masters degree in an advanced practice nursing role (clinical nurse specialist or nurse practitioner) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified). * RN License or APRN License valid in the state of Utah. * Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers and one of the following certifications per specialty area: NRP, PALS or ACLS. * Two years demonstrated clinical competency and leadership in specialty area. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Preferred Minimum Qualifications * Experience with quality improvement methodologies and clinical program development. * Demonstrated competencies with adult learning theories and methodologies including educational program developmen
