Today, SIMCO Electronics is headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA with a worldwide network of laboratories and international field service teams providing localized support. SIMCO Electronicsapos; strategic emphasis is to provide enhanced program management systems and services for customersapos; test and measurement equipment needs. One global service provider improves quality control and compliance of services while reducing total program costs. The principal markets served by SIMCO Electronics include Life Sciences, Electronic Components/Semiconductors, Communications/Optical Networking, Automotive, and Government. Specific market-focused expertise is the core of SIMCO Electronicsapos; competencies and a central focus of capital investments and strategic initiatives. The On-call Calibration Technician will perform calibrations of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment used in the Life Sciences, RF and Semiconductor/Electronic Components markets. Responsibilities and Duties: - TMDE/PMEL certified or Associates degree in Electrical Technologies - 3 years Calibration experience preferred - Power and hand tools - Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds without assistance; occasional standing and bending required. - Work will depend on workload Primarily responsible for General Purpose and Physical Dimensional Calibration DESIRED EXPERIENCE This is a team atmosphere primarily in a laboratory or manufacturing environment at a SIMCO location and/or customer sites, and the position could require some travel.
