JOB SUMMARY:
Operations Specialist October 30, 2012 - December 31, 2012 Location: Salt Lake City, UT Salary Range: DOE Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Benefits: Yes Employment Type: Full Time Employer: Cephalon, Inc. Duties: Primary Responsibilities: ? Assist in developmental and packaging operations. ? Understand set up, change over, programming and operation of various manufacturing equipment and processes including, but not limited to: tablet compression equipment, blister formers and sealers, packagers and labelers. ? Understand and maintain GMP areas and process in a state of control at all times, including facilities, equipment and documentation as required. ? Assist with development of documentation required in the production of product and the cleaning of facilities and equipment. ? Assist in developing and writing Standard Operating Procedures, ? Train and provide guidance to production operators as assigned. ? Support Engineering and Process Tech with installation and qualification of new production equipment, including assisting with troubleshooting issues with equipment. ? Have an adequate working understating to troubleshoot and identify repairs on material handling equipment, packaging machines and other items used to develop and produce pharmaceutical products. ? Conduct all business within cGMP guidelines, government agency regulations (eg, EPA, OSHA, DEA, FDA) and companyapos;apos;s Standard Operating Procedures. ? Complete all SOP / cGMP / EHS training requirements and retrain as conditions require. ? Ability to supervise production operations as needed. ? Requires adequate computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and the ability to understand other various business software applications. Qualifications: Requirements: ? Requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience with a scientific background with a minimum of 6 to 8 years manufacturing and mechanical experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, nutriceutical, or food processing industry. ? Must have mechanical understanding and be able to troubleshoot and maintain production equipment and processes. ? Must possess a working knowledge of high-speed packaging machinery and processes. ? Individuals with experience working in an FDA regulated facility will be given preference. ? Responsible for training other personnel on new assignments, experience in training is preferred. ? Must be able to lift 40 lbs. ? Must be able to tolerate frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions including grasping with hands. ?
