DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: TV Ratings Research - PART-TIME Outside Sales Representative Nielsen, a global leader in measurement and information, is dedicated to providing clients with a precise understanding of what consumers watch and buy. Currently, Nielsen is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Part-Time Outside Sales Representative to make personal visits to potential Nielsen families, without an appointment, to effectively recruit families to participate in the TV and Computer (PC) ratings which will capture their viewing habits at no cost to the household. The Part-Time Outside Sales Representative's core duties involve visiting prospective households, educating and recruiting them to participate in the TV and PC ratings. Job Responsibilities: -Driving to selected homes, within a designated territory, using your personal vehicle and a supplied GPS navigator (mileage reimbursement provided) -Approaching randomly selected houses without an appointment -In-person interviews with families to ensure they meet established criteria -Inputting collected data into a computer and/or iPhone -Recruiting the families and getting them energized and excited about participating in the Nielsen Ratings REQUIRED SKILLS: The Part-Time Outside Sales Representative must be outgoing, have a positive attitude and be determined/motivated to be successful in their career Additional requirements for the Part-Time Outside Sales Representative include: -MUST be available up to 28 hours per week between the work hours of 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM Monday thru Friday plus Saturday and/or Sunday hours between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM -MUST have a reliable form of transportation for business purposes which meets our insurance requirements -High School diploma/GED -Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and Excel -Ability to quickly learn and utilize new software as required for the job -Possess strong organizational skills -Ability to work independently -Outside Sales and/or Business to Business Sales experience preferred -Canvassing experience a plus -Survey Work experience a plus -Customer Service or Social Work experience a plus -Full background check, to include and meet our requirements for Criminal and Driving Record Here is why our Part-time Outside Sales Representatives love working for Nielsen: *$13.00 - 18.00/hour plus quarterly bonuses, up to $3000, based on performance *.72/hour language differential to those candidates who successfully pass our verbal language assessment *Mileage reimbursement *Laptop, cell phone, GPS, local paid training *Development opportunities to move into full-time positions based on individual performance and company need Insurance requirements Your automobile insurance coverage must include minimum liability insurance of $100,000 bodily injury coverage, $300,000 accident and $100,000 for property damage (or higher if your state requires higher coverage). Upon accepting an offer, you must notify your insurance carrier that the vehicle will be used for business purposes.
