Job Description The NICU Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of newborns with various types of health problems. The unit cares for neonates requiring care from pediatric sub- specialists in cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, general surgery, and neonatology disciplines. Valuable communication skills are needed to provide information and comfort to parents while answering their questions and concerns for their newborn. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, feeding and caring for the baby, and administering medications, according to doctor instructions. Other responsibilities could include placing and monitoring IVamp;rsquo;s and supplying oxygen when necessary Entry Rate: $21.80 Benefits Eligible: Yes Shift Details: This is a Full-Time position, working variable shifts Department: Primary Childrenapos;apos;s NICU Minimum Requirements * Active Utah Registered Nurse(RN) license * This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.
