JOB SUMMARY:
Title: Quality Analyst Location: USA-Utah-Salt Lake City Other Locations: L-3 Communication Systems-West is seeking a Quality Analyst to work from our Salt Lake City, UT office. Description Develop and implement program/process internal quality management system audit plans and to support Quality Engineering. * Verify programs, process and procedure compliance using direct interview, and documentation reviews * Use statistical quality control tools, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools to analyze audit results * Ensures that process performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards * Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems * Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies * Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met * Recommends corrective/preventive actions, dispositions and modifications * This position will also support the Corrective/Preventive Action coordinator * A strong background in coordinating investigations of systemic issues to identify underlying root cause in response to customer complaints/corrective actions is desirable * Must have formal ISO 9001 or AS9100 internal audit training * Prefer AS9100 Lead Assessor qualifications * Strong background and understanding of an aerospace focused quality management system * Must have good communication skills and the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results * Working knowledge of corrective and preventive action systems * Strong background/experience with root cause analysis tools: 5 Whys, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Fishbone Diagram etc * Bacheloramp;#39;s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline and 2 or more years experience in quality or reliability disciplines.
