Description Plans, promotes, coordinates, supervises, and evaluates youth and adult recreation programs and community events. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hire. Successful completion of a criminal background check. Other minimum qualifications may be required depending on the exact position under this title. Educational background or experience in recreation or similar field preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plans, promotes, and coordinates youth and adult racquetball programs and community events. Identifies the needs and feasibility of current and future programs. Assists with preparing and administrating individual program or facility budgets as appropriate; monitors expenditures and payroll. Completes post-program evaluations which include patron feedback, program success and failures, program budget monitoring report, and implementation for future seasons/programs. Manages multiple programs concurrently. Provides effective customer service. Reconciles program and patron complaints and respond to sensitive issues with general guidance from the supervisor. Assures that program fees are collected. Completes assigned reports. TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES: May work up to 1,560 hours per calendar year. Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy. Are not considered merit employees; they are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.
