JOB SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced OR nurse at our community based hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. The nurse will work as a vital member of the team, comprised of a surgical technologist, surgeon and an anesthesiologist, who together care for the patient undergoing a surgical procedure. Duties include interviewing the patient, assisting with the anesthetic induction, positioning, prepping, medications, technical equipment and attending to the needs of the scrubbed members of the team throughout the case. We desire OR RNs who have can scrub and/or circulate. Thisunitconsists of 14state of the art operating suites. Surgical cases at LDS Hospital cover the specialties of minimally invasive General Surgery, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT (Ear, Nose amp; Throat), Gynecology, Ophthalmology,Neurology, Total Joint and Sports Medicine Orthopedic surgery. LDS Hospital has beenrepeatedly recognized nationwide as one of the top hospitals in the Nation, and again received that same designation again in 2008. Withthe exception of occasional on-call shift requirements, youapos;ll appreciate a schedule that lets you enjoy your weekends and holidays off!The Operating Room is a well-kept secret, with special skills weapos;ll help you learn, and wonderful colleagues anxious to help. Shift Details: This is a fulltime, day position. 0700-1500, call required. Minimum Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in state of practice This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.
