Reliability Assessment Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:
***Position Overview*** This position is responsible for overseeing multiple North America Reliability Corporation (NERC) data collection processes and analyzing data for trending and presenting results. This position will assist in conducting reliability studies as well as developing the annual WECC State of the Interconnection report. This position will represent WECC at associated NERC and regional working group meetings. ***Major Duties*** 1. Verify completeness of data received from reporting entities and perform data checks to ensure data quality. 2. Work with reporting entities to resolve issues associated with data submittals. 3. Use statistical analysis to identify reliability trends and vulnerabilities. 4. Assist in studies used for reliability assessments. 5. Assist in writing reliability assessments and other technical reports. 6. Represent WECC at NERC and regional working group meetings. ***Minimum Qualifications*** Education 1. BS in business, economics, statistics or electrical engineering or equivalent combination of education and related industry experience resulting in demonstrated ability to perform major duties. Experience/Skills 1. Ability to process very large quantities of data. 2. Ability to present technical issues to a broad spectrum of stakeholders. 3. Ability to complete complex tasks with little direction. 4. Experience with pattern, trending and forecasting analysis. 5. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 6. Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal/presentation. 7. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. 8. Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time. Preferred Qualifications: Above minimum qualifications and the following: ? Three years related work experience in the electric power or related industry. ? Experience with database programming and VBA. ? Experience with statistical software packages. ? Experience with Ventyx Promod or similar production cost model.
