Sales Manager is needed for a Hotel near the University of Utah. Sales Manager is responsible for: managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction; and ensuring all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting past and new business. Requirements include: the ability to effectively communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner; the ability to meet/exceed client needs and resolve complaints; and knowledge of departmental interaction and organizational structure in a hospitality context. Incumbent will manage a specific market segment and all aspects of the sales process. Plan, solicit, book and coordinate group/transient sales to meet/exceed revenue/profit goals by soliciting, negotiating and confirming new and repeat business through various sales efforts. Successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as a positive and professional disposition. Position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and timely follow through. Prefer candidate with 4 years of experience in full service hotel sales and Delphi or other booking system software.
