JOB SUMMARY:
Job Summary: As a State amp;amp; Local Government and Education (amp;apos;SLEDamp;apos;) Account Executive on NetAppamp;apos;s US Public Sector Sales Team, you are responsible for positioning NetAppamp;apos;s Solutions and Services and articulating NetAppamp;apos;s unique business value to both existing NetApp customers and key prospects. You will be expected to cultivate relationships at the executive level, as well as build brand loyalty at the mid and lower levels of the Enterprise. You are expected to live the NetApp Values by maintaining positive internal and external relationships to meet evolving customer challenges and needs. You must be able to work effectively as part of a virtual team. You must be self-motivated and entrepreneurial in your approach to building a sustainable business. Your overall focus areas will be in relationship management, prospecting, developing business, responding to customer solicitations, developing proposals for presentation to customers, and opportunity and operational management. Cross-functional teams from NetAppamp;apos;s Marketing, Systems Engineering and Product Development functions provide support and tools for you to leverage to attain and exceed sales performance goals. You will utilize your excellent relationship building, negotiating, and technical skills to be successful in this role. Essential Functions: The essential responsibilities of the Sales Representatives are to work directly with customers and prospects to capture sales opportunities and to work effectively across functions with other NetApp employees. Specific areas of responsibility include: - Use relationship management techniques to develop selling opportunities within existing customer accounts; penetrate new SLED institutions and organizations within assigned territory; develop new selling relationships within your channel partner community. - Schedule and attend sales call appointments with customers. Other NetApp sales team members may also participate in the sales call to help qualify the opportunity. - Validating the customeramp;apos;s need for NetAppamp;apos;s unique Data Center Management. - Determining acceptance criteria that a customer could use to determine the success of an evaluation test project. - Utilizing a consultative approach, discuss business issues with customer and develop a formal quote, a written sales proposal, or a formal sales presentation addressing their business needs. - Respond to RFPamp;apos;s and follow up with customer. - Develop an account management plan to sell to customer based on their business need. - Build and strengthen your business relationship with customers within existing accounts. Ensure that their needs are being met to the highest level of customer satisfaction - Recommend marketing strategies. Attend corporate identified marketing events. - Provide status information to your Manager including forecast/pipeline information. - Identify NetApp customer references that can be utilized when reference selling. - Develop public reference customers and published success stories.Job RequirementsRequirements: - Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills. - Ability to work as a virtual team member and collaboratively with employees within department and across functions. - Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems. - Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions.
