JOB SUMMARY:
Security Officer needed for Salt Lake City (84104) truck stop. Duties: Assist a professional driver to find a parking spot. Assist a hitch-hiker to contact the travelers aid society rather than looking for a ride on our property. Oversee shift change and track all drawers from cash register to safe. Assist a driver with directions. Report possible safety concerns. Assist Police with apprehended shoplifter. Remind cashiers that while we want to have fun at work, we don't permit horseplay. View security video to assist management with timeline of previous events. Insure parking in both truck and automobile lots is within guidelines. Prevent peddlers from bothering the driving clientele. Oversee ATM canister replenishment. Assist with resolving or diffusing disputes between customers. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with arms and hands. Occasionally required to lift and / or move items 25 - 65 pounds. Vision requirements: Distance vision and ability to adjust to different lighting conditions. Ability to run or move quickly as needed depending upon the situation. Ability to withstand the elements (cold, heat, wind, rain, and snow). Responsible for upholding strict dress code at all times. Wage and schedule will be arranged with employer.
