JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Analyst / Developer at Goldman Sachs Co. in Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Design and develop the Firm's margin application system using Java, Hibernate, DB2, and JMS Messaging. Translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested and deployed business application systems. Responsible for the testing, installation, and maintenance of business application system. Interface with users and other developers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to meet business requirements. Develop, design, evaluate, and select tools necessary to build and support system. Apply disciplined software development processes and utilize leading edge technologies to engineer and implement automated solutions to business problems. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related Java developer role in a mission critical environment of at least 500 users. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Developing, performance-tuning, and debugging high-performance Java applications in a globally distributed platform; Agile, iterative development of business functionality; Database design, performance tuning and writing of SQL queries and stored procedures for DB2 or a similar Relational Database Management System; Software development experience using Hibernate, Linux and XML technologies; Execution of long-running User Acceptance Tests; Developing high volume messaging infrastructure components.
