The Senior Employee Health amp;amp; Benefits Consulting Analyst supports consultants who manage client accounts by researching, analyzing, and evaluating data from medical, dental, life and disability benefits plans and programs for employers with 500 - 5,000 employees. To fulfill this role, the analyst will handle a variety of tasks on the following topics: - Request for Proposals (RFPs): To complete the RFP process, the analyst gathers the health benefits information from a variety of sources (such as hard files, electronic files, the client and carriers), coordinates responses from the carriers and inputs data and maintains all appropriate documentation. - Client issues: The analyst will research client issues by contacting carriers and vendors on behalf of the client and determine when issues need to be escalated to a consultant. - Summary Plan Description (SPD) Reviews: Reviews the SPD from the carrier and compares it to the clientamp;apos;s benefits for accuracy; follows up with the carriers to make any necessary changes are made. - Reporting: Collects claim and utilization data from insurance carriers on a monthly/quarterly basis and analyzes and interprets the data for trends; prepares customized,client ready reports to deliver to consultant for peer review. - BA/BS degree is preferred - One to three years health benefit experience required - Strong analytical and mathematical skills; strong command of Excel - Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment - Ability to work independently and on a team - State Life Accident amp;amp; Health License must be obtained within three months of hire date Marsh amp;amp; McLennan Companies offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits and programs including: health and welfare, tuition assistance, pension and 401K, employee assistance program, domestic partnership benefits, career mobility, employee network groups, volunteer opportunities, and other programs.
