Summary: Supervise employees to provide DHL Global Mail with the highest quality of service in the direct mail processing industry while meeting cost per transaction objectives and safety standards; manage company policy compliance, productivity, cost, systems and quality from each department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manage the major functions of the assigned shift 2. Ensure quality of service meets standards 3. Manage required vendor and carrier procurement 4. Develop strategies, monitor progress and mobilize the shift to achieve established goals 5. Ensure effective use of time management, empowerment practices, and help balance the priorities of the shift supervision 6. Ensure a high level of staff morale and staff communication 7. Establish an environment of teamwork, employee involvement/empowerment, fairness, and consistency 8. Oversee training and the effective use of process improvement tools to continuously improve satisfaction, quality, and cost 9. Assist GM with labor and capital budgeting 10. Ensure the achievement of financial targets, best value performance and an aggressive use of performance improvement 11. Support the ongoing development and implementation of the DHL Global Mail business plan through timely and accurate fulfillment and transmit operations while maintaining cost efficiencies 12.
