JOB SUMMARY:
Shipping Supervisor need for South Salt Lake area for the Steel Industry. Must be a self-starter, motivator, organized, and has the skills to lead as a Supervisor. Requires 5 years of rigging experience. All rigging equipment shall be visually inspected prior to each lift for and noted on the Lift Plan Form. Visual inspection daily for connections, excessive wear, twist, distorted links interfering with proper operation, or stretched beyond manufactures recommendations. Unsafe equipment must be tagged and removed from the company property or jobsite. All loads shall be well secured and properly balanced in the sling or lifting device before it is moved more than a few inches. Cranes shall not lift beyond its rated load capacity. As required, certain work areas are to be blocked off to prevent pedestrian traffic. Morning meetings with the Production and Fabrication team to coordinate tasks. Shipping: Bridge Cranes and Hoist for truckload shipments Components for modernization projects Load Weights Paper Work to follow established procedure 5 years of Shipping experience Tools: Tool room maintenance, control, tool check out Load weight and scale check out, loading, Control, Maintenance Tool Maintenance, Inspection, and cleaning materials Trucks, Trailers, and Scissor Lifts: Maintain Flat Bed Truck and Trailer Maintain Fork lifts Maintain Scissor Lifts, Trailers by charging Batteries weekly Maintain and Fill propane bottles 3-5 years with truck, trailer, and scissor lift experience Facilities: Warehouse and Yard to be spotless Keep supplies in restrooms and notify when out Empty Office, Warehouse, Shop, and restrooms garbage can every Wednesday and Friday.
