JOB SUMMARY:
Software Quality Assurance Manager October 30, 2012 - November 30, 2012 Location: Salt Lake City, UT Salary Range: Depending Upon Experience Employment Type: Full Time Employer: SOS Technical Description: The position is responsible for managing the Quality Assurance department. This includes both overseeing the efforts of the team members and hands-on work to validate the quality of the products produced by the software development team. This will involve using automation and manual testing to ensure that our products meet quality standards and business requirements before release to production. Create and use automated and manual test scenarios that provide a high level of confidence in the software. Also serves as a resource to train and support franchisees and customers in their use of the technology products. Reports to the Director of Technology. Duties: Essential Functions: - Manage employees in the Quality Assurance department including, staffing, coaching and training on effective Quality Assurance processes. - Develop and oversee department budgets. - Manage timelines and workloads in conjunction with other technology team managers. - Develop and use effective testing processes to validate the quality of features and changes to the technical products. - Define requirements for white box test cases. - Define requirements for automated test cases using UI test tools such as Quick Test Pro. - Ensure that business requirements are filled by the new software applications. - Assist in reviewing, analyzing and documenting business and user requirements for technology product development. - Train other departments and franchise offices in the use of new programs and functions. - Serve as a resource for franchisees with complex technical questions during the sales process. - Work directly with other technology managers to ensure that business and user requirements are being met. - Develop and execute load tests to determine server capacity. - Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting application issues. - Assist customers in complex integrations of Unishippers technology with their existing systems such as order entry, web shopping carts and inventory management systems. - Ensure that escalated support issues are handled in a timely manner and meet our committed response times. - Serve as a support resource to resolve franchisee and customer issues as escalated by the Franchise Relations and Support team. - Train other Support Center employees in the business model and processes. - Assist in the process of developing the technology team roadmap. Qualifications: - Bachelorapos;apos;s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent. - 5 or more years testing Internet applications in multiple browser environments. - 1 or more years of experience developing automated UI Tests using Quick Test PRO. - 1 or more years of supervisory/managerial experience preferred. - Strong SQL query proficiency using Microsoft SQL Server. - Strong computer skills on Windows and MacOS X environments. - End-User training and support. - Strong Customer Service and communication skills. - Team building, motivation and leadership skills
