JOB SUMMARY:
Participate in all aspects of structural project design from concept studies through detail engineering and provide technical support during construction and commissioning. Experience in the design of industrial facilities with knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes (ASCE, AISC and ACI a must). Candidate will be required to make jobsite visits to review existing plant facilities, take field dimensions and assist plant operations in troubleshooting and analysis of existing facilities. Experience in petrochemical or mining industries would be a definite asset. Ability to assume lead structural design role of 4-6 designers. Requirements: Engineering Design Technology Degree, specializing in Structural design or similar degree. Substantiated expertise in the latest versions of AutoCAD. A minimum of 15 years experience in heavy industry required, including concrete foundations and flatwork, building design, heavy structural steel such as platforms and large equipment support structures. Additional skills with 3D software such as SolidWorks, CADWorx Plant or Autoplant would be an asset.
