JOB SUMMARY:

Performs routine and preventative maintenance, analyzes mechanical and/or electrical problems, and makes adjustments, repairs, replacements, or other corrective actions to ensure the continuous and safe functioning of equipment in the specified area of expertise. Job Requirements: 1)Tools will need to be furnished at own expense prior to starting work. 2)The ability to be able to safely lift up to 100 pounds. 3)The ability to be able to climb ladders in excess of 20 ft. and be able to wear fall protection equipment. 4)The ability to wear and use a full face respirator. 5)The ability to work on roof tops and top of cooling towers and wear the fall protection equipment. 6)The ability to climb stairs up to 15 floors without assistance. 7)The ability to wear all Personal Protective equipment associated with the job duties including arc flash and insulating attire, safety glasses, face shields, insulation gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, air purifying respirators and any other PPE defined by OSHA and University policy. 8)Read and understand operations and maintenance manuals and safety training materials. 9)The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
