JOB SUMMARY:

Employer hiring for Traffic Operations Center Control Room.    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:   Monitor traffic and road conditions via CCTV.  Field inbound calls from the public as well as internal and external partners.  Monitor Computer Aided Dispatch.  Monitor Department of Public Safety dispatch radio.  Submit work orders for both hardware and software malfunctions.  Post messages to freeway overhead electronic message signs.  Post messages to phone information line.  coordinate with control room Signal Operations Desk.  Coordinate with weather control room Weather Operations.  Provide demonstration of software and equipment for control room tours.  Comprehend weather forecasts provided by on site meteorologist.    General Experience/Knowledge Requirments:  Must posses good verbal and written communication skills.  Familiarity with Utah freeway system.  General location knowledge of various counties within Utah.  Proficient typing ability.  Some phone experience.  Experience using computers as well as various computer software programs.  Ability to multi-task.  Must be able to maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
