JOB SUMMARY:
Truck Driving Adjunct Faculty member is needed for a Salt Lake educational institution. The adjunct faculty will teach truck driving skills in an open entry/open exit competency-based classroom. Instruction includes preparing students for a Class A and/or Class B CDL license, including pre-trip inspections, backing skills, shifting skills, pulling singles and doubles trailers, log books, and other related skills. Minimum Qualifications: * Three to five years experience driving trucks pulling singles and doubles, both long haul and locally. * Experience teaching adults in truck driving or related field. * Current and valid CDL Class A license for the State of Utah. * Current DOT physical. * Excellent driving record. * Must participate in the SLCC random drug testing program. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with heavy duty construction equipment. * Bilingual Spanish/English. This is a part-time, temporary position.
